It seems that when I insert a column I have marked and then hit the Plus key, when inserting it will not insert the column into the existing text. It inserts the first line and then it is like the return key was hit. Is there a setting where I can correct this.

    Hi,
When you mark a column block, copy it and then paste it it will paste the marked column. Thus the paste will extend over multiple lines. I’m not sure what you mean by the plus key. What key mapping are you using?

    Thanks,

    Example Column Block:

    Given the following block.

    oRs:Fields(“Field01”):value
    oRs:Fields(“Field02”):value
    oRs:Fields(“Field03”):value

    Using “Alt-c”
I mark from first of three lines from position 12 at the start of “Field01”.
I column mark down to the third line to position 18 to the end of “Field03”.
Hit the “+” to copy to buffer, move my cursor to the end of the first line.
Press insert the it looks like below:

    oRs:Fields(“Field01”):value Field01
    Field02
    Field03
    oRs:Fields(“Field02”):value
    oRs:Fields(“Field03”):value

Sometimes when it works correctly it should have looked like:

    oRs:Fields(“Field01”):value Field01
    oRs:Fields(“Field02”):value Field02
    oRs:Fields(“Field03”):value Field03

    Thanks, Byron …

    Hi Byron,
You must have a different key map than I. Using column mark, copy (cntl-c), move cursor, then paste (cntl-v) I can not duplicate the error. I get the second (desired) result every time. You might check your key map and verify that insert maps to paste, not paste special.
