We’re undergoing some changes to our site, switching servers, mail hosting and even new DNS. We’ll have moments of up and down time here and there and will be posting an announcement prior to the live switch over. We’re still here and hope to have the new site launched soon!
President / CEO
Kind words Gorlash and thank you for your devotion to Multi-Edit which I ‘believe’ there is MUCH value in this product as you and many of our users past and present do!
I’ll be sending out an email blast to all our customers, posting it in the forums here as well as our Newsletter Library, so keep an eye out as I will post it out next week for all.
I sincerely apologize for my last of ‘presence’ in my forum responses and my involvement with MESI in general and all this will be explained in this upcoming eblast.
Allow me to begin by addressing your comments in line below to your original post.
I’d expect at least that the management would release the code base, but there is no indication about that. [/quote:2h7lywg6]
We have no intention of ‘releasing our code base’, UNTIL we’ve released our new product as we have been working SO HARD for the past 3 years now performing a complete rebuild of the product from scratch. At this point our product is approximately 75% complete but lacks full functionality which is preventing us from even releasing in a BETA form at this time. Once this product build is complete, we will be eventually open sourcing the ME2k8 source code to a repository such as Source Forge. Until we’ve released our newest build we will continue to ‘sell and support’ our current product line.
At this point I will not buy a copy of a non supported product.
As stated above, we are in fact supporting our current product release, in fact Clay Martin provides support for this product everyday via email and support forums.
Problem is that I can’t even found some warez code to activate my copy…[/quote:2h7lywg6]
Michele Hegwood still continues to provide support for our customers on a daily basis and is always available to assist with lost license codes (for the ME2k6/2k8 products only. Older releases are no longer supported and therefore licenses are no longer provided). Please take a moment to reach out to Michele via email for immediate assistance at email@example.com for assistance with obtaining any licenses and download links. Regarding your comment about the ‘warez’ codes, we have been very diligent with protecting our software as the revenues obtained from it even today are used to continue development, site hosting, server maintenance, phones, fax, employee wages etc. Those licenses which are found to be in circulation on the warez networks are immediately invalidated and no longer valid for any future upgrade use. Once again, please reach out to Michele for assistance with obtaining your installer and license codes as there is no need for our licensed users to go to the warez networks to obtain a pirated copy of a software title you already own.
We will be sending out a newsletter next month as there is much to announce but I’ve been holding off for legal reasons. As always I appreciate our customers and their loyalty to Multi-Edit and will continue to provide sales and support of the current release until our next build is complete.
Sorry for the delayed response everyone!
We’re still working on the MEx build and will be sending out a newsletter late next week providing more details on the status of the build, promos and more.
Thanks as always for your patience!
We are currently working on our Multi-Edit x build and this bug ‘will’ be addressed in our initial public release which is currently scheduled for late first quarter 2012. I apologize for not addressing this bug in the 2008 build, but we are working ‘forwards’ with all fixes on the newest build of Multi-Edit and therefore will not be releasing any further bug fixes or patches for the current Multi-Edit 2008 build.
Rest assured however this bug will not exist in the newest build!
You can check to see what the D key is assigned to using Tools | Customize | General | Keys/Commands and performing a search for the D key to see what if anything it is assigned to.
You can always restore your installation to defaults by locating and deleting/renaming the Multi-Edit config file (Meconfig.db). This must be done while Multi-Edit is ‘not’ running to work properly. More information on locating your config files can be found at the link below.
Try doing a Help | Check for Upgrade and grab the latest 10.05.00 build of Multi-Edit 2006. This build had numerous fixes and may resolve the bookmark problem you are experiencing. If you require any assistance with the installation, obtaining it or your codes, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more assistance.
What version of Multi-Edit 2006 are you currently using as shown in the Help | About dialog?
Your activation appears to be good else you wouldn’t be able to post on the forums. Assuming that is what your posting is about, looks like you are all set. If however you are seeking assistance with activating your product, please send an email to email@example.com with complete purchase/registration information and Michele Hegwood will be able to assist you.
You will need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org for that information and can do so on Monday and Michele Hegwood will be more than happy to assist you.
Can anyone chime in on this to assist Clay?
Unfortunately we had to stop development of MEx for a period of time due to the project far over extending the allowed budget. We are however going to restart development hopefully in the next 30 days to get it to a Beta release at best so we can begin making some revenue returns from our excessive and unexpected investments.
We are also considering looking at taking on additional ‘in house’ C++ programmers to ‘assist’ Aloha with completion of this project as well as a potential ‘in house’ project manager. This of course has not yet been announced, but I planned to announce these opportunities later this month.
If any ‘Alpha testers’ might be interested in these opportunities by all means please drop me an email and we can discuss further, otherwise I’ll provide more details later this month.
Thanks again all!!!
Please send a request to email@example.com and we will issue you a newly generated 30 day evaluation code along with steps to inject it into your current installation.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
