Hi, I have attempted to find a way around this in the "customization" menu to no avail…
When I am editing, I have copied a line that will repeat several times, and the same time I am deleting obsolete lines, so the idea is that I paste the copied line and delete the obsolete lines as I move down the file. What I find is that when I use <shift> delete and then attempt to paste my copied line, it will paste the line that I just deleted, acting as if I performed <ctrl>Z or a Cut & Paste.
Is it possible to not have the delete function populate the clipboard?
Shift-Delete is the secondary key combo for Cut to buffer (same as Cntl-X). What were you expecting of shift-delete versus just delete to delete a line? If you want to change that go to Tools-Customize-Keys/Commands and do a search on Shift-Delete as the secondary or primary key then press edit and delete the secondary key assignment.
