Try pdfcreator and pdf995. The latter has a nag screen. The former does not.
By the way, they each use the identical ghostscript.dll file (date and size) to do the work.
Les. PDF995 can be purchased for, you are right…. $9.95 to remove the nag screen.
These products can also produce other file types.

I used to be longtime user of PDFCreator until my new work computer had Vista installed. PDFCreator doesn’t work (at least up until recently) with Vista.
Luckily, CutePDF is also free and does work with Vista.

pdf creator is a very good tool.I recently reused it by downloading it from https://www.todopdfcreator.online/
It has greatly improved in the latest versions.
