Using MultiEdit 2008 Version 11.04.00 Running Windows XP SP3

I am trying to insert a block. I know this used to work.
I capture a block of text.
    Example:
    extern
    extern
    extern
    extern
    extern

NowI want to insert this text infront of 5 lines. What I get is the block followed below the block of text I wanted to insert in front of.
    Instead of:
    extern unsigned a
    extern unsigned b
    extern unsigned c
    extern unsigned d
    extern unsigned e

    I get:
    extern
    extern
    extern
    extern
    extern
    unsigned a
    unsigned b
    unsigned c
    unsigned d
    unsigned e

Is there a setting I turned off?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Are you doing this in column block mode? You would need to have Edit-Mark Column checked. Also try changing the setting for column block move in Tools-Customize-Editing-Blocks.

    Thanks,
    Clay

I capture the text using "Mark Columns of Text (Brief)".
Where can I find "Edit-Mark Column". It is not under "Tools-Customize-Editing-Blocks"
    See attached Picture.

Under Edit MultiEdit will not let me check off "Mark Column" only "Mark Stream" is checked off.

    Thanks

    Hi,
The Edit-Mark Columns is the menu item under the Edit menu in the standard configuration. You can also right click while holding the left mouse button down (while doing a select) and it will toggle between the 3 modes (stream, column and line) of selection. I am unable to reproduce your Problem while selecting in column mode. Are you sure when you select the "extern" text that you are in column mode?

In Tools-Customize-Blocks, what are your settings below Cr key deletes blocks?

I fixed the problem by removing MultiEdit from my system and reloading a fresh copy. Then rebuilt my customizations.
    Thanks for you help

But you lost all the settings, right? It is not an option… At least for me..

When you create or reply to a post, under the area where you type, you will see an tab that reads "upload attachment".

I mean – how did you actually create the JPG or whatever the picture format file was?
