    Does anyone have a line number macro that will skip specific lines? I need one to skip blank lines and comments?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Not sure what you mean by "line number macro". If you want to hide these lines in the edit pane you can use the collapse function (Text-Collapse) and use a search to identify blank lines and comments to hide them.
    Thanks,

    I don’t want to hide them but I would like to number the lines but skip these lines when it numbers. so I would get
    //comment

    1 real line
    2 real line 2
    // comment 2

    3 real line 3

    thanks

    Sorry, I don’t think that is possible. Multi-Edit relies on line numbers (and column numbers) for many operations at a very low level. If you wanted a macro to count lines of code (not comments or blanks) that would be a possibility, but the line numbering itself would be very difficult.
