The Line Numbers of the Source Code are getting Copied when we perform Copy of the Source code from one Source to another.

    How to Avoid that ?

We only want to copy the text part which start from COLUMN 7 till COLUMN 73.

The Issue is in MULTIEDIT 2008.

    Kindly Suggest

    Hi,
If you use column copy mode you can just copy text from one column to another. Either select Edit-Mark columns or right click why selecting.

    Thanks,
    Clay

Thank You So Much for you Help 🙂

Ideally when we Copy the below mentioned Source Code to any other Source the Copy should Start from Column 7 and ends 73 but here its copies the line numbers also and that is a Bug.

    068100 MOVE ABCDEF TO MY-VARIABLE-A.
    068200 MOVE 123456 TO MY-VARIABLE-1.
    068300 MOVE HELLO TO MY-VARIABLE-H.

The Ideal Copy Should Like this :-

    MOVE ABCDEF TO MY-VARIABLE-A.
    MOVE 123456 TO MY-VARIABLE-1.
    MOVE HELLO TO MY-VARIABLE-H.

    Kindly Advice.

    Hi,
You might try turning on the ruler to help see the columns. Select Text-Ruler.

To copy from column 7 to 73 Select Edit-Mark Column. Then drag the cursor from column 7 over to column 73, then downward to include the lines you want copied. When what you want copied is highlighted, press Cntl-C.

    Thanks
    Clay
