I am working with huge text files of 4 to 8 gb in size on a 64 bit windows 2008 r2 server. They are pipe delimited data files with millions of records. I can edit and then click save. It takes a while to save but eventually does. There is no error message so I was assuming everything went ok. However I have come to find that the size of the saved files is never larger than about 2 gb!!

Is there any way that I can successfully work with these huge files?
    Are there special steps?
Is there a 64 bit version of me2008?

    Hi,
This is a known intermittent bug. It happens with very large files when Multi-Edit (ME) is run on 64 bit machines. The problem seems to be related to how the 64 bit OS allocates memory to 32 bit processes. There is not a 64 bit version of ME. The problem is being addressed in the current new build of ME.

    Thanks,
    Clay
