Very very thanks , David
Your answer is complete, in true.
Next long weekend I’m going to try it. I already have some experience with macros and I think it is not difficult.
Like I said before, my main problem is creating the window and their controls.
Happy New Year
1. My source code is written in this structure: First a code word (String in my example), after it a non-ordered sequence of parameters in the form "parameter=value".
2. When I need to edit this source code with ME, I wish to press a function key ("CTRL-F4" or any other), and with it, execute a macro who displays a little window with all parameters in the line and their values, and also all other permited parameters with no value (as WEBLAIR do)
3. When I press ACCEPT button on this window, the macro must recreate the source line in the original form, with the new values.
My main problem is how to create a window from a macro with the list of permited parameters.
Thx for your reply
I know some tricks too, I’ve no problems to create my files tags.
But I want to report this BUG on ME 2008.RC1
Really, Tags are was I was looking for.
I’ve installed it on Vista. No installation problems (a new installation without migration), previously I’ve get the property of "Program Files" folder to avoid UAC problems.
But at edit I’ve next problem:
I’ve some source files with hexadecimal character 7F, this shows a small rectangle in W2K and XP. Vista don’t show it and skip abnormally across the window.
This is the first approach, I need to do more tests.
I’m using Vista Home Premium Edition – MultiEdit 10.03.00
I will try it.
Hi again, Dan
I’ve found the problem. It’s my error.
My initial BAT calls another BAT incorrectly.
Sorry for your loss of time.
It not works. Same results.
1.- Using quotes, ("<PATH>" and "<NAME>") the BAT receives:
""C:\mypath with spaces\mysubpath\"" ""name with spaces"" extension
having two double quotes (open and close every couple), the BAT get parameters as
1.- Without quotes, (<PATH> and <NAME>) the BAT receives:
"C:\mypath" "with" "spaces\mysubpath\" "name" "with" "spaces" extension
and it get every word as a new parameter.
It is possible to enable auto-Colapse function at open file, EVERY time?.
(associated to filename extension)
Thanks to all.
What I need is to download one file, to edit it and then upload it to the server. But only ONE file every time, because my colleagues are using the rest of files at office.
Also, it will very useful if temp (downloaded) file is erased from home PC when edition ends.
I will wait for version 10.
I apologize for my mistake.
As you can read, I do not speak well in english.
In true, my initial idea was to continue syntax-highlight in second line when quotes not matches in first line. That’s all.
Certainly, continuation characters are not matter for ME.
I’m looking for and I do not find the where to configure it.
1) In Data Description Structures (DDS) for IBM iSeries:
A 19 SFLMSG(‘Los documentos a cancelar n-
A o son del mismo cliente’ 19
(The “-” sign at first line end is the continuation sign. Also it could be “+”)
2) In Control Language (CLP) for IBM iSeries:
DCL VAR(&PROC) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(80) VALUE(‘IMPRESION DE –
POSICION DE CUENTAS DE CLIENTES’)
(Same previous case: The “-” sign at first line end is the continuation sign. Also it could be “+”)
2) In ILE-RPG for IBM iSeries:
DTITDIS C ‘CUENTA DE RESULTADOS (DISTRIBUID-
Well, I’ve same error.
But MeFind*.tmp is’nt in Config/Tmp.
I’ve looked for it and it is in “WINNT/TMP” .
The real path is in Tools-Files-Autosave (TMP file directory)
I’m a old registered user. (from version 6 to actually 9.0)
From now I need to pay for EVERY upgrade in same version?
I think that I will look for another alternative in the web.
